Parents of children with ASD wish their children could share the same school experience as other children. They are hoping that with time, their children will gradually get used to the environment and could learn through their peers in a school environment. However, they always overlook whether the child is ready for school. They may look for a teacher assistant or school shadow teacher when they receive complaint from school. Break down the skills and have a systematic plan to teach the skill<\/h6>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-35b170b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"35b170b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">For example, our goal is to have the student be able to read along with the class independently. Below are the possible breakdowns. The school shadow teacher may be around (e.g. at the back of the classroom) to observe the student and provide a signal to the class teacher to help provide the information that allows her to evaluate the student.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5700f45f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5700f45f\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-4897fac3\" data-id=\"4897fac3\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c6488b3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c6488b3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h6 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3. Observe the data and evaluate the effectiveness of the procedure<\/h6>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-093e716 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"093e716\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Based on the breakdown of the skill, if data shows that the student has mastered the current phase, it indicates that the shadow teacher can systematically move onto the next phase and increase the level of difficulty. Regular supervision and training\n<\/h6>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7615ddf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7615ddf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">If the school shadow teacher has no experience in teaching children with ASD, regular supervision and training is essential.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ced56fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ced56fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h6 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">5. Establish and maintain good rapport and communication with the student\u2019s therapy team, school, and parents<\/h6>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d9c5adc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d9c5adc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">To help student learn and progress effectively, it is important to follow a consistent approach, and have a professional to oversee the student\u2019s program to provide directions.
