In the previous videos, Toby has discussed how to increase students\u2019 awareness to teacher\u2019s instructions in class and increase students\u2019 language and comprehension skills. In this video, Toby will talk about how to increase children\u2019s motivation in listening to instruction in class. <\/p>\n

In the beginning, parents can do roleplay trainings with their child at home (ex. Mum as teacher, Dad as student A, child as student B). The instruction should be easy to follow and made frequently, and followed immediately with reinforcement. As training progressed, the difficulty can be increased (e.g. different instruction (open the book, answer question #3, pack up your belongings) ) When the child is familiar with the training, parents can discuss the situation with the school teacher and invite school teacher\/shadow teacher to train in class. <\/p>\n
