Unlocking Learning: What ABA Can Teach

About This Workshop

Every parent and professional supporting a child on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) asks the same honest question: “Is the therapy actually working, and how would I know?” This workshop answers it directly. Progress in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is not abstract or invisible — when treatment is delivered well, it is measurable, meaningful, and visible in everyday life.

Led by Marian Mira Mationg and Kim Villanueva-Nieto at Autism Partnership Manila, this session moves beyond a lecture. You will see how progress is defined, tracked, and celebrated using the Autism Partnership Method (APM™) — a progressive model of ABA built on more than 30 years of clinical practice and research. Because not all ABA is the same, we show how quality, individualized treatment is delivered through clinical judgment and in-the-moment decision-making — not a cookie-cutter protocol.

Through clear explanation, video demonstrations, and real case journeys, parents and professionals leave with a working understanding of what quality progress looks like and how to keep it moving forward — so every child can thrive.

Who Should Attend

  • Parents & caregivers who want to understand what their child’s therapy is really achieving, ask the questions that matter, and feel confident partnering in their child’s progress.
  • Doctors, Paediatricians & Psychologists seeking evidence-based insight into how ABA progress is defined and measured.
  • Educators & Other Health Professionals – teachers, shadow teachers, therapists, SPED practitioners, and allied health professionals — seeking practical, evidence-based ways to recognise and support meaningful gains.
  • Families exploring options who are new to ABA and want an honest introduction to how it works and what to expect.
