Parent Education

Parent education and skills training is an integral part of Autism Partnership’s model of service.

Parent involvement and ability to implement ABA strategies are essential for obtaining the best long-term outcome for a child.  The more parents participate in the course of treatment and the more skillful they are, the closer we are to achieving the best possible outcome for the child.

Parents Empowerment workshops

Parents Empowerment workshops become requisite for all parents at Autism Partnership, whereby short courses in the format of workshops will introduce fundamentals and basic principles of ABA. We believe your child’s treatment process is a partnership between parents and experts.

Individual Parent Training

Training sessions offered at the centre or at home are aimed at improving the skills of parents and are individualized to each parent and child that may include areas such as: toileting, eating problems, sleeping issues and developing skill areas such as compliance and speech and play skills. This training aims to help parents deal with domestic or challenging issues that do not surface during therapy hours.

Group Parent Training

AP Group Parent Training Series aims to train parents to become proficient educators in ABA. By equipping parents with the basic principles of ABA, you can use it with your child in a home environment. Your child’s true learning potential can also be maximized in their daily lives.

  • Our workshops are conducted in a well-designed mix of discussions, role-plays and follow up at home with your child.
  • There will also be video reviews to track your progress and to provide you with a multi-dimensional learning experience that will benefit your child significantly.
  • Parents will also have a chance to meet other parents, share experiences, and have your questions answered by our parent trainers.
